One day Milo is outside playing, using a stick like a sword when he notices fog rising up, followed by an intimidating figure in a weird outfit. Frightened, he runs to Hedgequarters and once he calms down he claims that he saw an alien. Camille doesn't believe him and Alfred tries to think of a rational explanation for what Milo saw, which frustrates their skunk friend, He storms out, leaving them perplexed.

Later, the duo find Milo hanging up posters about the Alien and they start to worry over their friend when Edgar shows up and asks about it. Alfred avoids letting Milo cause further problems by quickly stating it's just a movie poster. Once Edgar leaves, Alfred apologizes to Milo for not taking him seriously earlier, so he would be willing to hear him out now.

They return to Hedgequarters and while Alfred is still unsure what to think, Camille demands proof. Milo leads them to where he was and Alfred picks up a scent. Milo believes it came from the fog he saw, and Alfred agrees that something happened, he just isn't sure what. After marking down the smoky scent as their first clue, Milo attempts to give his friends advice against an alien attack- though neither really listen. Just then, a bee flies at Alfred and he panics when another bee appears. But they suddenly flop down to the ground and act odd. He deems this their second clue, but he assumes the bees probably came from his dad's hive since he just had a shipment of bees recently.

Back at Hedgequarters, Alfred looks online for some help and they come up with the idea to make a trap to catch the strange person Milo saw. They put up a couple of devices and alarms, and set up some lights to make sure the creature will show up on video, and they stand by to watch. Suddenly, they get startled when a big green eye appears to be staring at them. By now Camille is starting to believe Milo really did see an alien, but they are relieved after realizing it's just Alfred's dad fixing the camera. He wishes them luck and takes off, causing Alfred to wonder if his dad could be clue three and they go over everything they know so far.

By now, Alfred considers that his dad might be the alien, and he leads his friends to the location again, eventually ending up in his backyard as the smoke begins to rise again. The alien appears again and they learn that it is Mr. Hedgehog. A flustered Milo is shocked as he explains that he has to transfer the bees this way. His clothing keeps him safe, and he uses the smoke to calm down the bees and lessen chance of injury. It doesn't hurt them and wears off fairly quickly.

The trio calm down and feel better, realizing Gnarly Woods is safe from any sort of alien invasion. They share a laugh and stay to observe Mr. Hedgehog doing his job.
